Old Fashioned Scones
These are an absolute winner and told to me one day while out on an Ambulance call. Safe to say i’m so glad I remembered the Recipe!!
It is a very easy recipe.
INGREDIENTS
4 Cups of Self Raising Flour
250ml of Cream
250 ml of sprite
METHOD
Now all you do is lightly mix all 3 together then shape out into scones, I like to keep the dough about 1.5- 2 cm high a it gives you then a nice big fluffy scone.
Bake at 210 for 8-9 mins basically to get a bit of colour then I lower the temp to 165 for 10-12 mins till a skewer comes out clean.
Let your scones cool down then top with jam and cream, or cream and jam!
